Superintendent Search Community Involvement Online Survey

  • The Silsbee Independent School District Board of Trustees has employed Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Executive Search Services to assist with the search for a new superintendent. The Board has requested that school personnel and the public be involved in developing a profile of the leadership qualities desired of the person the Board should seek to become the new superintendent.

    All community, constituents, staff, and students are encouraged to participate in this survey. The survey is anonymous and will automatically be sent directly to TASB Executive Search Services when completed. The deadline to complete this survey is January 15, 2019.

Supertintendent Search Community Involvement Meetings

  • The Silsbee Independent School District Board of Trustees has employed Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Executive Search Services to assist with the search for a new superintendent to replace Superintendent Richard Bain, Jr. who is leaving Silsbee ISD. The Board has requested that school personnel and the public be involved in developing a profile of the leadership qualities desired in the person the Board should seek to become the new superintendent.

    The TASB search consultant will facilitate discussions with community members, staff, and other groups as designated by the board on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Silsbee ISD Administration Building located at 415 Highway 327 West. The schedule of these meetings is as follows:

    • Staff – 4:00-5:00 p.m.
    • Community – 5:00-6:00 p.m.
    • Community – 6:00-7:00 p.m.

    The Silsbee ISD Board President Sam Edd Harrell encourages all members of the community to attend and share their thoughts and insights. Even though meetings are designated for specific groups, each meeting is open to any interested person who wishes to attend.
