Emergency School-Closing Information

  • Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety and well-being of our students and families, Silsbee ISD has complied with a Disaster Declaration implemented by Hardin County Judge Wayne McDaniel that has been effective since March 17, 2020. In order for Silsbee ISD to comply with the declaration and prevent group gatherings of 10 or less, Silsbee ISD traditional campus-based instruction will be suspended. Silsbee ISD has followed further orders from the State of Texas following compliance from Gov. Greg Abbott's order of school closure until May 4, 2020. Please understand the suspension of traditional campus-based instruction could be extended based on any further declarations.

Silsbee ISD is offering a Flexible Education Program (FEP) in order to provide instructional continuity throughout the Disaster Declaration time period. With this FEP, Silsbee ISD will also be offering Curbside To-Go Meals during this closure.
