At regular meetings of the Board of Trustees, a maximum of 5 minutes shall be allotted to hear persons who desire to make comments to the Board. Persons who wish to participate in this portion of the meeting shall sign up 15 minutes prior to the start time of the posted agenda on the day of the Board meeting. Registration must be completed by the person wishing to speak on the Public Input form, located at the reception desk inside the entrance of the Board Room. The Board President will recognize the visitor(s), in which at that time, the visitor(s) must stand and identify themselves by name, address, and if applicable, organization representation. Be advised to limit remarks to 5 minutes.
NOTE: State law prohibits the board's deliberation, discussion, or action of any item not on the official agenda.
For those wishing to include an item on the agenda, such as accolades, awards, gifts, giving thanks or giving praise, please complete in writing, name and name of the organization (if applicable), and information. Include the accolade, award, gift, etc., and promptly submit to the Superintendent's office for review by Wednesday prior to the scheduled regular Board meeting.
To submit formal complaints, identify the item as Public Complaint, Student/Parent Complaint, or Employee Complaint, and fill out the proper forms included in the Grievances/Complaints packet available at Silsbee ISD administration building located at 415 Highway 327 West, or from the principal's office at any of the campuses.
