Nutrition and Food Services
We know that school closures are impacting families differently across our community. As a District, we are committed to helping our families during this closure. Therefore, Silsbee ISD School Nutrition Services will prepare and distribute meals for children 18 and under at several sites while school is closed due to COVID-19 precautions.
Working with the Texas Department of Agriculture, we will provide curbside meals for our students. Since our schools are closed, the meals will be packaged “to go.” Children must be present to receive a meal package. Due to federal regulations, we are unable to provide meals for adults at this time and children will not receive more than one meal package per day.
Each “to go” meal will include lunch and breakfast items and will come at no charge, regardless of meal eligibility status.
Nutrition Services will use the inventory that is on hand based on menus that were served this week.
Curbside “to go” meal pickup sites (11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
- Silsbee Elementary, 770 South 7th Street
- LIT/Robinson Center, 1355 West MLK Road
- North Hardin Baptist Church, 11574 FM 92
- Mondays (breakfast & lunch for Mondays and Tuesdays)
- Wednesdays (breakfast & lunch for Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays)
If the schedule changes, Silsbee ISD will make the proper announcements and notifications with any or all changes through School Messenger calls, and social media channels.
