A Message from Superintendent Dr. Gregg Weiss

  • Greetings Silsbee ISD students and parents.

The COVID -19 Pandemic has created many unknowns and disruptions to our daily routines and lives as we know it today.  However, one thing remains certain – the safety, health, and education of our students at Silsbee ISD will always be the highest priority.

Our administrative team has collectively developed the following 2020-2021 Return-To-School Plan that incorporates guidance from the Texas Education Agency, UIL, and other state and local health agencies.  As we look to re-open our schools, Silsbee ISD will remain committed to taking every reasonable precaution to protect our students and staff.

As superintendent, I am asking for your support as the District navigates through these challenging and everchanging mandates and guidelines issued from our state and local officials. Despite the obstacles before us, our teachers and staff anxiously await the opportunity to serve our students in the weeks ahead through either face-to-face or remote learning solutions.

We at Silsbee ISD, look forward to seeing you soon.

    – Dr. Gregg Weiss, Superintendent
