Incentives and Stipends
In the best interest of students, Silsbee ISD is dedicated to developing, recruiting and retaining extraordinary people. The district will offer a series of stipends and incentives designed to more competitively attract and compensate teachers and other district employees.
These incentives and pay increases at Silsbee ISD were not initiated or implemented until after Superintendent Dr. Gregg Weiss' arrival to the District in March of 2019. It is his goal to work with the Board of Trustees and the Silsbee ISD Business Department on improving teacher pay raises and incentive bonuses for employees.
They include:

- UIL positions, etc
- $5,000 - $10,000 stipend for secondary shortage areas of:
- math (6th - 12th)
- science (9th - 12th)
- foreign language (9th - 12th)
