The SISD Purchasing Department is responsible for purchasing all supplies, materials, and equipment, within the guidelines imposed on our district. Purchasing issues all formal bid requests, evaluating the appropriate procurement method (informal quote, formal quote or bid) according to the law. Fixed assets and inventory programs are also monitored by this department.

The primary purpose of the Purchasing and Fixed Assets Facilitator is to direct and manage the purchasing activities of the district in an accurate and timely manner.

In addition, the department oversees the procurement of supplies and equipment for the district, while ensuring compliance with applicable state laws and regulations, and following established purchasing procedures to process bids and purchase orders.
The Purchasing Department facilitates the adherence to applicable statute and policy requirements and application of efficient and effective procurement processes.
