Hello, my name is Judy Honeycutt. I teach BIM I and Career Prep I & II. BIM covers the Microsoft Office Suite which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher. Career Prep I & II are students who have jobs and come to school for at least half the day and then go to work. These students must be at least 16 years old and in the junior or senior year of school. Career Prep I & II count for two to three credits depending on the minimum hours worked. I am the DECA sponsor for students who are in my career prep classes.
I am also Department Head of Career & Technical Education which is the largest department on campus and the Career & Technical Coordinator for the district. You may reach me at judy.honeycutt@silsbeeisd.org or ext 6119. My conference period is 6th period.
I also have the privilege of being the sponsor for students who were chosen to be part of YLSET (Youth Leadership Southeast Texas). This is a leadership program connected to LSET (Leadership Southeast Texas) of which I am an alumni.
I grew up in Southeast Texas and I am a proud graduate of Lamar University. I have also attended University of New Orleans, Our Lady of Holy Cross, and Delgado Junior College. I have had the privilege of being a teacher at SHS for over twenty years--GO TIGERS!!
