From Vision to Victory: Silsbee ISD Artists Make Their Mark at County Show

October 9, 2025 — Silsbee ISD art students made a strong impression at the Hardin County Youth Project Show and Rodeo, showcasing their creativity and craftsmanship across multiple categories and bringing home several top awards.

“The level of talent my students displayed is truly inspiring,” said SHS Art Teacher Brittany Tanton. “Seeing their creative vision come to life and watching them take pride in their work is what makes teaching so rewarding. I couldn’t be prouder of them.”

Winners from the show include:

  • Lillyann Christopher: Grand Champion, Drawing/Painting
  • Blaze Clark: Reserve Champion, Woodwork
  • Naomi Frazier: Grand Champion, Crafts – Purse
  • Jaden Whisneant: White Ribbon and Alternate, Painting/Drawing
  • Trinity Whisneant: Reserve Champion, Drawing/Painting
  • Olivia Haire: Red Ribbon, Crafts
  • Vegas Janise: White Ribbon, Photography
     

Grand Champion pieces will be auctioned live in the ring, while Reserve Champion works will be featured in the silent auction this Saturday at the Hardin County Youth Auction Barn, 3677 N. Hwy 326 in Kountze, Texas.

Buyer check-in will be held from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., with opportunities to purchase art, crafts, wood and metal projects, food, and livestock.

Silsbee ISD is proud of the dedication, creativity, and Tiger Pride these talented students displayed through their outstanding work.
