SHS Choir Director Kathryn McKeehan expressed immense pride in her students’ achievements.
“Watching these students perform at the state level and bring home medals is a true testament to their hard work and passion for music,” said McKeehan. “But what makes me most proud is their personal and musical growth throughout the year. They’ve developed not only as vocalists, but also as individuals committed to excellence.”
The State Solo and Ensemble competition, sponsored by the University Interscholastic League (UIL), brings together the most talented student musicians from across Texas. To advance to this level, students must earn top ratings at the regional level and meet high standards in musical technique, interpretation, and performance.
Congratulations to the SHS Choir on this incredible accomplishment!
