Mrs. Holt’s resignation was approved unanimously (Derrell Ferguson and Jonta Miller were not in attendance) at the conclusion of the meeting.

Reflecting on her tenure, she expressed her thanks and excitement for the future. “Serving the Silsbee ISD community has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” said Holt. “I am so proud of the progress we’ve made together and look forward to continuing to serve this community in my new role.”

“We are incredibly grateful for Mrs. Holt’s decade of service,” added Dr. Weiss. “Her passion for education and dedication to our community have left an indelible mark on Silsbee ISD. We wish her every success as she champions our interests in Austin.”

The district celebrates Mrs. Holt’s accomplishments and thanks her for her steadfast dedication to Silsbee ISD’s mission of excellence in education.

Current Board Vice President, Derrell Ferguson, will serve as president until the board realigns at next month’s meeting.
