Silsbee ISD Implements New CrisisAlert Safety System Across Campuses

March 23, 2026 - Silsbee ISD is strengthening its commitment to student and staff safety with the implementation of the CENTEGIX CrisisAlert™ Safety Platform through a partnership with FiveStones Safety. The new system adds an additional layer of protection across all district campuses by equipping employees with wearable CrisisAlert badges designed to quickly summon help during emergencies.

Each staff member will wear a CrisisAlert badge during the school day. The badge functions as a silent panic alarm, allowing staff to discreetly alert campus administrators and campus police with the press of a button. When activated, the system immediately identifies who initiated the alert and where assistance is needed, helping ensure a faster and more informed response.

The system allows staff to initiate two types of alerts. A Staff Alert is used to request help in situations such as a medical emergency, disruptive behavior, or when immediate assistance from an administrator or emergency personnel is needed. A Campus-Wide Alert can be initiated if a staff member perceives an imminent threat to safety, triggering a campus-wide lockdown and multiple layers of notification to ensure the fastest response possible.

District staff received training on the new safety system on Monday, March 23, 2026, during the scheduled Staff Development/Student Holiday. Local law enforcement agencies also participated in the training to better understand how the system works and how they will respond in the event of an emergency, helping strengthen coordination between the district and emergency responders.

Silsbee ISD would like to extend a special thank you to the Silsbee ISD Board of Trustees for approving funding for this system and for their continued commitment to student and staff safety.

At Silsbee ISD, the safety and security of students and staff will always remain a top priority. The district continues to evaluate and invest in tools and resources that strengthen safety across campuses, and this platform is an important step in that ongoing effort.
