Tiger Lily Floral Design Team & Mrs. Champagne Sweep the Maroon Blooms Contest
February 3, 2025 - The Tiger Lily Floral Design Team from Silsbee High School took the Maroon Blooms Contest by storm, proving that their floral skills are truly in full bloom! Competing against top floral design students from across the region, these talented students brought home major awards—including the Grand Champion Designer title—while their teacher, Mrs. Courtney Champagne, showed everyone where they get their skills by winning 1st place in the Teacher Division!
Silsbee’s Winning Designers:
- 1st Place – Grand Champion Designer: Kylee Champagne
- 2nd Place: Madison Konstantine
- 3rd Place: Kam Balusek
- 10th Place: Rhaleigh Cox
- Top 20 Finish: Matti Potter
- 1st Place – Teacher Division: Mrs. Courtney Champagne
From start to finish, the Tiger Lily team displayed outstanding creativity and craftsmanship. Kylee Champagne secured the coveted Grand Champion Designer title, while Madison Konstantine and Kam Balusek followed close behind with 2nd and 3rd place finishes. Rhaleigh Cox earned a 10th place spot, and Matti Potter secured a Top 20 finish, further showcasing Silsbee’s excellence in floral artistry.
Not to be outdone by her students, Mrs. Courtney Champagne swept up 1st place in the Teacher Division, proving that her expertise and leadership are just as sharp as ever.
“These students never cease to amaze me,” said Mrs. Champagne. “Their dedication, creativity, and hard work continue to shine, and I couldn’t be prouder. It’s moments like these that remind me why I became a teacher—watching my students succeed and grow into confident designers is the best feeling in the world.”
The Tiger Lily Floral Design Program is more than just a class—it’s a hands-on experience that prepares students for careers in floral design while fostering their creativity and passion. Their outstanding performance at Maroon Blooms solidifies their reputation as a top floral design team.
