Woodard Legacy Shines Bright: $24K Donated to Silsbee Education Foundation

September 11, 2024 - Charlie and Sherry Woodard are cherished members of the SIlsbee ISD community and have dedicated countless years of service and love to the district. Though they have retired from education, their passion for giving back and shaping future generations remains unwavering. The Woodards demonstrated their generosity by $24,000 to the Silsbee Education Foundation, a supporter of Silsbee ISD.

This contribution was made possible thanks to the donations raised at the 1st Annual Charlie and Sherry Woodard Golf Scramble held on July 15, 2024. The event was organizaed by Ricky McInnis, Doug Almond, Doby Dear, and Heath Donalson, whose efforts helped bring the community together for a wonderful cause.

"We are incredibly fortunate to have community members like Charlie and Sherry Woodard whose dedication continues to enrich our schools and inspire others," said Dr. Gregg Weiss, Superintendent of Silsbee ISD. "Their generosity and the generosity of others are true testaments of their dedication to the district, our teachers and students."

The proceeds from the golf scramble benefitted the Silsbee Education Foundation. Silsbee ISD is extremely grateful for the kindness and support of such an incredible community.
