Silsbee ISD Curbside Meal Plan
Nutrition and Food Services
We know that school closures are impacting families differently across our community. As a District, we are committed to helping our families during this closure. Therefore, Silsbee ISD School Nutrition Services will prepare and distribute meals for children 18 and under at several sites while school is closed due to COVID-19 precautions.
Working with the Department of Agriculture, we will provide curbside meals for our students. Since our schools are closed, the meals will be packaged “to go.” Please know that children must be present to receive a meal package. Due to federal regulations, we are unable to provide meals for adults at this time and children will not receive more than one meal package per day.
Each “to go” meal will include a lunch and a breakfast item and will come at no charge, regardless of meal eligibility status.
Curbside meal sites will be open Monday, March 23 from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. for breakfast at campus sites only, and 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for lunch at campuses and additional sites. Curbside pickup will resume on Tuesday, March 24 with breakfast and lunch served from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. daily for the remainder of the school closure at campuses and additional sites
Nutrition Services will use the inventory that is on hand based on menus that were served this week.
