Packet Distribution – Friday, March 27

Silsbee ISD will be distributing Distance Learning packets for all students on Friday, March 27 at designated campuses. All campuses will have the same scheduled times to pick up packets, which will have complete instructions. The distribution will be curbside.

No one is allowed to leave their vehicles during this process. All buildings are closed and now one will be allowed to enter.

Pre-K through Fifth –  Silsbee Elementary

Sixth through Eighth – Silsbee Middle School

Ninth through 12th – Silsbee High School

TIMES IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER

Families that have children with different last names are asked to come at the scheduled time of the child with the latter last name. Example: Jane Doe and Joe Smith – Come at the Smith scheduled time of 2-3:30 p.m. and receive packets for all your children

A–D: 8:00 – 10:00 a.m.

E–K: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

L–R: 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.

S–Z: 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.

Silsbee Elementary – Grades Pre-K through Fifth

Please have your child’s first and last name, and grade largely written on a piece of paper and placed on the front dash. Listen for instructions. The packets will be loaded in your trunk.  DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR. THE BUILDING IS CLOSED . NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO GO IN THE BUILDING. Once you have your materials, they will close the trunk and you will proceed.

All packets are included with instructions.

Silsbee Middle School – Grades Sixth through Eighth

All parents drive to the front of the building OR the bus ramp according to grade levels, similar to standard protocol at the middle school. Please have your child’s last name written large on a piece of paper on the dashboard of the vehicle. All students that can receive work online do not need to get a packet.

Silsbee High School – Grades Ninth through 12th

Packets will be distributed at the Silsbee High School bus pickup line outside the gym. We ask everyone to stick to the schedule to help traffic flow. These packets are for students that are unable to receive work online. All students that can receive work online do not need to get a packet. Virtual classes/office hours are available for students.

All directions will be included in your packet. Please email your teacher or call with any questions. They will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

MEALS

Meals will continue to be distributed on Friday, March 27 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Silsbee Elementary will continue to distribute meals at the front during packet pickup and will have an additional meal distribution line at the bus pickup area. This additional pickup is for meals only. Silsbee High School and Silsbee Middle School will continue to distribute meals at the same location during packet pickup times.
