High school UIL Academic students place at Hamshire-Fannett

Silsbee High School UIL Academics

Spelling and Literary Criticism teams each finish in second place.

JANUARY 13,2020–Silsbee High School UIL Academic students placed at the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorn Invitational held on Saturday, Jan. 11.

Individuals that medaled in the competition included:

  • Brianna Aeina, sixth place in Spelling and 5th place in Literary Criticism
  • Eli Auer, fifth place in Editorial Writing
  • Trey Bourgeois, sixth place in CX Debate
  • Milo Morgan, sixth place in CX Debate, and sixth place in Persuasive Speaking
  • Sierra Harrison, third place in Ready Writing
  • Octavius Tyler, fifth place in Prose

Teams that placed included:

  • Spelling, second place – Brianna Aeina, Estrella Balderas, Chloe Bowers, and Kairi Galvan.
  • Literary Criticism, second place – Brianna Aeina, Makiya Campbell and Sierra Harrison
