Silsbee ISD welcomes Laura Reeves Primary administrators
Tiffany Woods-Horton named associate principal; Cody Swafford named assistant principal.
JUNE 3, 2020–Silsbee Independent School District is proud to announce Tiffany Woods-Horton as new Laura Reeves Primary Associate Principal.
Woods-Horton’s education experience spans 13 years including three years as curriculum coordinator of Beaumont ISD. She has also served as Title I Summer School Administrator, instructional coach, campus testing/RTI Coordinator, curriculum writer, PD facilitator and a teacher ranging in grades kindergarten through fourth.
She is a graduate of Lamar University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in interdisciplinary studies with an EC-4 certification. She then earned a Master of Science in professional counseling following her goal to become a counselor.
Woods-Horton began her work career as a mental health counselor and served as an administrator at a residential youth center for troubled teens. She later went back to school to earn an EC-12 principal certification.
“My passion has always been to make a positive impact in the lives of children,” she said. “My primary goal is to ensure every student receives high-quality instruction in a positive, safe environment.”
Woods-Horton said her greatest accomplishment was being named the MVP of the RELAY Graduate School of Coaching.
She is a native of Newton, Texas.
Laura Reeves Primary also welcomes new assistant principal Cody Swafford.
Swafford has 22 years of experience in education with more than 15 years here at Silsbee ISD.
He is a graduate of Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies, and a Masters in Business Administration.
Swafford has been married for 25 years, and he and his wife have five children.
