Silsbee High School FFA students compete in horticulture competition.

Three finish within top 10 at competition.

MARCH 25, 2021 – The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo hosted an FFA horticulture competition that allow students to demonstrate what they have learned in horticulture classes offered through career and technology programs at high schools.

This year, Silsbee High School had eight students participate in the program where three students placed within the top 10.

Heather McMillan placed third and received a $750 scholarship; Fatijona Bela placed fourth and received a $500 scholarship; and Jadyn Brooks placed eighth and received a $100 scholarship.
