The Silsbee High School Robotics Team came to Kindergarten to give a hands-on experience with robots. Silsbee High School engineering teacher Vic Miller gave his team the task of building robots that could be driven, pick up an object, and to look like the quintessential robot.

“The team went above and beyond in accomplishing their goals!  This helped our kindergartners learn about force, motion, and energy (TEK 112.11b6D: observe and describe the ways that objects can move, such as; in a straight line, zigzag, up and down, back and forth, round and round, and fast and slow.),” said Mrs. Rebekah Pyne, LRP Kindergarten Teacher.

The demonstration also coincided with kindergarten celebrating the end of the school year by doing the alphabet backwards (letter Rr).

The district prides itself on how well each campus works together to make sure students are successful all throughout their time at SISD.
