The Silsbee High School Criminal Justice Club wins big at the TXPSTA Regional Competition, heads to State Competition
DECEMBER 13, 2021 – The Silsbee High School Criminal Justice Club brought back several wins at the TXPSTA Regional Competition.
The students traveled to Manvel High School on Saturday, December 11, to compete.
The Cell Extraction Team placed 3rd. The team includes Alissa Roberts, Jake Moore, Culiesha Busby, Emily Shivers, Loraliegh Taylor, and Jaden Rosas.
Jaden Rosas placed 1st in the police obstacle course.
Multiple students also competed in the Building Search and Felony Traffic Stop portion of the competition.
The Building Search team included Austin Black, Olivia Goins, Lucas McClammy, and Bailey Frasher. The Felony Traffic Stop team included Alissa Roberts, Bailee Wolcoff, Madisyn Taylor, Loraliegh Taylor.
“They did an outstanding job representing Tiger Nation,” said Robert Smith, Criminal Justice Teacher/SRO.
Bailey Frasher had the second fastest time of all the competing girls in the police obstacle. Unfortunately, it was not separately judged and scored.
After tons of hard work, after school practice, and Sunday practice they put in the work, stayed focused and positive and came together as a team. I couldn't be prouder of these students,” said Smith.
The students who competed in the Cell Extraction Team and Police Obstacle are now heading to the State Competition.
