March 16, 2023 - Another day, another dominating performance from students at Silsbee Independent School District. This time, the Tigers took their talents to the ring at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Freshman Kylee Champagne  and her steer Geronimo wowed the judges during the Calf Scramble show. The dynamic duo placed 1st in class, which is a huge accomplishment on the big stage of the HLSR.

The winnings for Kylee didn't stop there though. She also won the scramble essay contest.

Kylee wasn't the only Tiger in the ring at the HLSR. Freshman Ryan Broussard and his steer, Jet, made a great showing in the Market Steer Show, competing against a tough class of nearly 50 other steers.
